Of course, I don`t really know what is happening in the Arab world. What I do know is that they are marginalized in Israeli society, I mean Arabs as a whole. So it would be a very good thing, as Nusseibeh suggests, that those capable of leading, advocate for all Arabs in general, w/in Israeli society, and the "territories", and JOIN IN the municipal elections for starters in Jerusalem, and have their voice heard": Ishmael: "Yisma El": G-d hears. But if you do not call out, if you do not make your voice heard, then how on Earth will Hashem hear??? It has to do w/ the whole disenfranchisement of the Arabs. Therefore, they should do their duty and VOTE in these elections. The Muslim Brotherhood is the Muslim Brotherhood. They stand apart from the whole thing. Their project is either Jihad or a religious project. It has nothing to do w/ political rights as such: in fact, it is counterproductive to the whole idea of political rights: a totalitarian project masquerading as sthg else. |
