By acting ignorant and re-itterating the same empty slogans, Dr Rice is undermining any status the US had left in the Middle East as a serious partner. Peace Now reports doubling of settlement construction and Dr Rice repeats the same old nonsense. Not many settlers will listen to her words: they are too busy razing the Palestinian lands and building unnecessary houses. Dr Rice will stop the building process for a maximum of five minutes, because that is the time the settlers need to burst out laughing, regain themselves and continue building with even more happy motivation.
Also, by early this year stating a short timeline towards an allencompassing peace agreement before the end of the tenure of GWB, and by clearly not pressing any participant to stick to it, she created the impression of an impotent and uninterested US leadership.
