There is no way that Israel can get an air attack from Israel to Iran without overflying major parts of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and, perhaps Syria. These days, this cannot happen undetected. If the Americans or the Saudis allowed safe passage of the Israeli force, then they become complicit in the attack. Rather than become complicit in such an attack, America would do it themselves and not rely on the questionable abilities of the IAF.
