I live in Brooklyn, I`m moving to 121st right by Morningside on Monday. I`m happy to be doing so, I`m happy to be living in NY, and very happy to be getting closer to the UWS, if not inside it.
I am here however out of opportunity, to learn and work, I have to work on saturdays just to afford rent. There is no day of rest in NY. Rest is despised and we generally have no real access to proper "savoir vivre".
This city has no cultural structure whatsoever, but just elements of these. Your article shows this. People her suffer from this, they are abandonned to roughness, whether Jewish, Black, Hispannic or even Wasp.
Israel is the center of, the physical manifest of Jewish, political being. How could the center of that be outside of it?
