Paul, it would be a terrible idea to have Israeli troops in Afghanistan. Think of the political ramifications for the Karzai government. That said, Bar`el`s comparison to the Soviet occupation of the 1980s is daft. The Russians wish they had lost as few troops as Coalition forces!
