Sorry guys, but you both seem to be perfect examples for the well known fact, that if you are sitting in the middle of a "storm" (conflict zone), you often lose your ability to keep a clear vision..... ....and that`s why you (very much) need people from outside, who can bring you back on the right (or rather reasonable) track.
