Trade the Triangle and other Arab villages along the West Bank-Israel border, and maybe a tiny bit of Arab majority land in the north. Trading a small piece of Negev land to enlarge the Gaza strip might be in our interest too, lest it will become even more overpopulated resulting in tensions that will affect us.
Our aim of any peace agreement should be to ensure a lasting Jewish majority within Israel, which means our borders should mainly be based on demographics, not on arbitrary ceasefire lines from 1967. In light of this, also (most) Arab neighborhoods of J`lem should go to the PA. If we won`t agree to that, it`s a matter of only a few years before we`ll lose our capital completely. Most of Jlems population is already not Zionist, in a few years most won`t be Jewish either. Split the city, keep what is important to us, and hand over the rest. Redraw our municipal boundary, and try to turn Jewish J`lem into a city that`s not only attractive to Haredim and foreign real estate buyers. |
