I agree with Yoav. In my girls` yeshiva they, too, kept a separate class for sephardi girls end even one, in the basement, for Ethiopian girls. My Ashkenazi ulpan teacher used to complain about a Sepharadi boy who got admitted to her son`s class and now he would be influnced by all the `heretic` sepharadi minhagim, oy vey...
We send our girls (sepharadi) to a Habad school where they learn together with Ashkenazim in an athmosphere of tolerance and warm acceptance and where nobody ever got asked what his ancestry is. |
