| Without the help of the French before 1967, Israel would have had a much harder time, and she might not have survived. We must not forget this period in our history, nor should we forget the crucial role played by President Peres. However, we should also remember that all such relationships can be changed with the winds of the times--the personalities, the parties, the collective whims of the people. President Peres is right that international relations must be nurtured, but never at the expense of Israel`s sovereignty. |
