", but (i) he was not alone, others joined (ii) the fact that he is jewish is irrelevant, non jewish French have condemned the report by French television too (iii) what do you mean by "rightist" ? You write : "this story of blatant anti semitism by the French (state)television ", but there is no evidence of antisemitism in this affair. Lastly, you are right to say that the report demonized the IDF but wrong to add "and every Jew". The Al-Dura report by French Television was certainly a piece of sloppy journalism with tragic effects. It is arguable that it was a reflection of anti-israeli bias. But you cannot assert that it was "blatant antisemitism". |
