I do notice anti-Israeli biases in a lot of French media - that is why I seek information elsewhere.
The underlying question here is the relation between Israel-bashing and anti-semitism.
On the one hand, there are anti-semites who hide under the more politically correct mask of anti-Israel or "anti-zionist".
On another hand, you cannot equate anti-zionism and anti-semitism, simply because anti-semitism is never right and anti-zionism is not always wrong.
To put it roughly, I`d say that a good number of French people are anti-zionists, sometimes wrongly, and that can be blamed on biased media reports that continually bash Israel and exonerate the Arabs. But only a small minority of the French are anti-semites. |
