Maureen there is a word for a government which works hand in hand with industry and finance.
Where the corporations control the government, and the government serves the needs of the corporations.
Those who see the change in the US as being socialists miss the entire point.
The government does not control the means of production and distribution.
There is no effort by the government to serve the needs of the people.
Rather the government subordinates and taxes the people to supply welfare for the corporations.
There is a word which describes what now exists in the United States, and it is not `socialism.` The word is Fascism.
Fascism: political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. |
