| One of, if not the last, Moderate Republican in Congress. Chris Shays, has been defeated. I remember when there was a Woman who was a senator - Margaret Chase Smith from Main. At the same times, there was a Black Man who was a Senator, Edward Brooks of Mass. So what of that long, - 40 years ago America? I do not know. How did the party of Abraham Lincoln become the party of Jefferson Davis? How did the party of liberation, become the party of economic slavery? I cannot tell you, All I can say is that if we wish to be deceived, we can be. |
