Land gained by war is inadmissible. See UN res 242 & 338. Israel cannot "give back" what it does not own. Period. Read the Road Map, read the reiteration at Annapolis, read the Saudi Plan. One of the most unhelpful myths surrounding this conflict are people thinking that an army can just "conquer" land in modern times and then keep it as a colony. Gaza is STILL occupied by Israel. Ask the UN Secretary General and the US State Department. It controls the borders, the airspace, the sea and Israel is currently strangling the 1.4 million people there in a huge humanitarian crisis. Oh yeah, and people who use the term "ayrabs" are wingnuts. It is Arabs. Would you dare use a similar slur against Israeli Jews? |
