While it is completely up to the Vatican who they decide to make saints, it must be recognized that Pope Pius XII NEVER issued a public denunciation of the Holocaust, even after WWII was long over. The War ended in 1945 and that Pope served until 1954. I would really like to know the reason he kept silent about the Holocaust for 9 years after the defeat of Nazi Germany. His silence AFTER the end of the War really troubles me and ought to trouble all good Catholics.
