| The Catholic church historically has dehumanized Jews because "they killed Christ." Jews in the past have been placed in ghettos and made to wear insignia designating them as Jews. Hitler picked up on these theme and Jews once again were segregated and made to wear "badges" signifying them as Jews. The Holocaust followed. The Church is only unhappy because all the Jews were not eradicated. The Vatican helped escaping Nazis flee into South America. The Vatican will always hope Jews will just "disappear." Jews have a right to look upon the Vatican with suspicion and concern. |
