| Your world-view is frozen in 1949, by the look of things. IW, in the years since 1949 Mighty Empires have fallen, and all over the world enemies have become allies and then become enemies again. And yet you can not see this conflict with the Pals as anything other than set in stone, can you? Even though, of course, Fatah has gone from the "chief enemy" of Israel to its "chief collaborator", and Hamas has come from nothing to become this week`s Evil Incarnate. Yet no matter how much it changes as far as you are concerned it all remains the same. No, IW, ir hasn`t. EVERYTHING changed in 1967: Israel is the oppressor, not the Pals. Israel is the occupier, not the Pals. The Pals want to see Israel disappear? I`m sure they *want* that, but they know they can`t *get* that, so they are willing to settle for an Israel that is out of their faces. But Israel is not willing, is it, and so the Pals fight. |
