Building a counter terror unit like those that exist in Israel, UK, Germany etc takes many years.
During that time a vigorous learning process must be implemented.
The Indians are now at a stage similar to Israel and West Germany in the 1970`s (Ma`alot, Coastal Road and Munich Olympics all of which involved poor, amateurish performance by security forces). Those countries made great strides in their hostage rescue capabilities, and it would be fair to assume that the Indians will now embark on that path. |
