Stopping Iran`s nuclear ambitions are more geopolitical than military. Big brother (the USA) restrains Israel from combating terrorism, a clear indictment on how George W. Bush has deteriorated mentally. This is compounded by the fact that GWB has two lackeys in Olmert and Livni. The IAI can bomb Iran effectively. Iranian missiles are over-rated. However, the IDF will look at fighting a 4 front war. The West Bank can be largely controlled. Syria is like an aging boxer with maybe one or two punches left. The real problems are with Hizbullah in the north and to a lesser degree Hamas in Gaza. Syria pulls the strings with Hizbullah and bombing Damascus or the threat of it will diminish that likelihood. It takes a prime minister with nerves of steel to pull it off so hopefully in February of 2009, the Israeli public will elect that person.
