I long ago outgrew my youthful zest for romantic music, and even then I mostly found Wagner excessive.

If the Israeli Opera doesn`t want to play Wagner`s operas there are plenty of ways for those Israelis who hunger for his excesses to slake their thirst.

We ALL practice censorship in the arts. We do not live in a dark age where there is too much time and too little art.

Though most of it isn`t very good.

If you absolutely need a Wagner fix, there is the yearly overdoses at Bayreuth.
