| I wish someone would explain to me why Wagner is banned, but Richard Strauss is not. Wagner may have been an anti-semite , but he died decades before the nazis (that would put him in the same company as Chopin for example. Strauss not only stayed in Germany throught the Nazi period, he was a Nazi official. Now either you are consistent and ban everyone who has Nazi connections (symbolic or otherwise), or no one. |
