| Two babies lost to Tay Sachs, and yet more pregnancies. While reproducing is a mitzvah, surely doing genetic testing before arranged marriages happen should be part of the mitzvah also? Why are the Chabad so cruelly behind the times? I know of cases in the Orthodox world where birth control is sanctioned by a rabbi. Is not a couple like this to be encouraged not to have so many children? |
