After the aggression of 2006 when Israel killed 1500 Lebanese civilians but failed to defeat Hezbollah. It is accepted within Israel that there will be another war in Lebanon, to re-establish Israeli deterrence.
Obviously I do not want Israel to achieve a military victory against the Lebanese people. Therefore the fact that I hope that Hezbollah have been provided with the means to protect Lebanon from Israeli air attack to prevent the slaughter of Lebanese civilians by Israel.
If Israel gives back all territory stolen from Lebanon and detists from attacking Lebanon then I am sure such a scenerio will not arise.
And this is a view increasingly prevalent amongst the West. |
