| I have heard many people argue that Israel should respect Hamas because it was democratically elected. That maybe true, but democratic states typically do not stifle, harass, and persecute the opposition. Hamas has definitely been guilty of that (as has Fatah). I am looking forward to see if Hamas is willing to tolerate free and fair elections in Gaza again. |
