Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondent, and News Agencies: PA police: Settlers set fire to Palestinian home in Hebron
Talkback
Title:Settlement building will continue--Jews have rights too
Name:IW
City: State:
The reason for this situation is that somehow it has been accepted that Jews have at best an attenuated right to live in Hebron, where Jews lived for thousands of years until murdered by their peace-loving Arab neighbors. Murder does not confer property rights, and the settlers are rightly outraged at constraints being placed on where they can live, particularly when it involves restrictions on reclaiming Jewish property from the murderers who wrongfully appropriated it. If there was true justice, there wouldn`t be these riots and disruptions, but as long as the unfair policy continues which prevents Jewish settlement anywhere Jews wish to live, anger will fester and violence will ensue. Why can a million Arabs live in Israel-proper, but Jews cannot live in the West Bank? Why do Arabs have more rights than Jews?
