Clearly, the IDF seems incapable of dealing with the situation. Maybe it`s time to call up the reserves to deal with this. They can`t protect either the property or the people Israeli law requires them to protect, ie, the `protected persons` which the Israeli courts have ruled are under belligerent occupation.
Olmert says they`ll be protected. This is the result. Israel signed on to the Geneva Conventions, too. And those say they`ll be protected. But they aren`t.
Call up the reserves or turn the city over to the PA Security Services and let them protect and serve the people the IDF won`t or can`t.
I seem to recall that the idea of putting a settlement in Hebron was Bibi`s idea. Turning out really well isn`t it? |
