Poor analogy. First you are starting from a premise that Gazans are actually a threat, and I submit to you that rocks and crude low-tech and low-yield homemade rockets and mortars are no existential threat to Israel. They do not come flying at Israel because Gazans decided they hate Israel for no reason, they come because Israel has spent decades brutally occupying Gaza with no end in sight. You are welcome to pretend that Gaza is separated from the West Bank and that it is not occupied. However, the UN Sec-Gen says Gaza is occupied and I will have to go with Ban ki-Moon. A better analogy would be if NYC decided to put Newark under a similar border tight siege due to gang activity. I can assure you that innocent folks from Newark would soon be militants and they would be resisting. |
