It is a shame that this ancient community is on its last legs, but what can one expect in an environment with violence and death hanging over their heads not to mention limited social and economic mobility.
The government of Yemen is doing everything in its power to woo its token Jews to stay. They are even building them a special protective ghetto in the capital. In the end though it?s an exercise in futility, members of future generations who have a shred of ambition, and are not satisfied ?knowing their place? will quickly leave. |
