| Russian oil is cheap right now. They have to look at other ways to make a fast buck. Business as usual.They are also still furious at the U.S. for its involvement in Georgian affairs and for the positioning of future missiles in Poland directed against Iran. They didn`t get too strong of a reaction by the U.S. for sending war ships down to Venezela and then Cuba. They are headed down the old road again, thanks in part to an administration that pushed them too far and their own inability to focus on solutions that would help bring them up to western standards. They are going to be of limited use in negotiations with Iran unless the Obama administration has something up its sleeve. Russian leaders are looking for old glory by trying to relive the old days instead of building from within. |
