hamas says that opening the rafah crossing is a PRE-CONDITION to any truce. the terrorists of hamas want to coerce two sovereign states, egypt and israel, to do as the terrorists command. this command by hamas should teach both egypt and israel, as well as other interested parties, that talking to terrorists is a total waste of time. terrorists, by their very nature, are incpable of compromise.
