Israel must at this point demand the end of attacks on its territory, its citizens and its soldiers and the end of any preparations for such attacks as well as the release of Gilad Shalit. To ensure that attacks cease, at this stage Israel has no option but to extract a very high price of the authorities of the state of Gaza.
