Okay, but remember the Second Lebanon War of 2006.

Israel bombed Lebanon`s infrastructure almost to the ground, and even though Lebanon/Hezbollah had no air force, the IAF`s action did not stop Israel from losing that war, did it? The consensus of opinion says that Hezbollah literally threw the IDF out of Lebanon. Even Israel`s government admitted that they lost the war.

Therefore, having a military airforce to conduct massive airstrikes which destroys infrastructure and kills civilians is not going to win a war, is it?

What it is going to do is, once again, put Israel in a very bad light, and just as Clickfool says, it will look cowardly, to bomb flat a civilian population which is completely without the military resources that Israel owns.

With nothing but Kassams and rifles to use against the IDF/IAF, who do you think is going to look like the "bad guy", big time?

(You didn`t say which army you were in?)
