| I expect the world to act hypocritically as usual. Would any Western country abide a neighbor shooting rockets into its cities? Israel gave a clear warning, and Hamas ignored it. So far, the action has been aimed, as much as possible, at Hamas` infrastructure, rather than indiscriminately. Can we say the same for Hezbollah`s rocket attacks in 2006? Israel removed itself from Gaza. The Gazans could have reduced their violence, and Israel would have opened the borders. But, instead, Hamas kidnapped an Israeli soldier and began a relentless barrage of rockets into Sderot. No honest person can view Israel`s response as unwarranted and aggression. But, since when has the world been honest when it comes to Israel? |
