If DM Barak does not follow up this blitzkreig with a ground invasion of Gaza, then all these spectacular efforts will be in vain.
The only command that may bring victory followed by a peace is to seek out and destroy all Gazan belligerents. And that cannot be done with anything short of a ground invasion of Gaza. If Israel is too timid to send in her infantry to seize and hold Gaza, and to seek out and destroy Hamas, then she is wasting her time, her efforts, and her resources. And we will be back to square one: useless negotiation to the accompanment of Kassams and katyusha rockets. |
