Firing from static launchers in dense populated areas is limited by buildings obstructing the 45 degree firing path, and the knowledge that such firing will attract Israeli devastation of the urban launch site, with nose TV camera video (as in Iraq) for CNN to prove Hamas sited the launchers behind human shields. No propaganda value of the hundreds of Gazans who die from the counterstrike - war crime is Hamas`s alone for siitng them there. Israel has an unlimited right to defend itself. This resonates positively in the US, and who the hell cares what EU and the Arabs think. And Obama - no problem, he knows which side his bread is buttered on: Blaming anybody but Hamas in the US will backfire - we remember 9-11. And Obama is committed to launching a REAL war on terrorism along with stopping the distraction of Bush`s Iraq blunder. |
