Hamas` military wing hopes to lure in the IDF prematurely and then retaliate with every secret high-tech weapon they were able to spirit through the tunnels over an extended period of time. Anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, high-explosive booby traps, heavy machine gun fire from behind civilian cover, homicide bombers, and especially trained hit squads to capture Israeli soldiers will be used to regain Hamas` honor.
The IDF ground forces will have to proceed with extreme caution while the IAF continues to strike at congregating Hamas gunmen and other high-value targets that come to light with Israeli special-ops personnel already in Gaza.
Even with slight casualties within the IDF as the war continues, the Hamas propagandaists are already drafting their spin statements on how they stood up to Israel and won the war in a more commanding fashion than even Hezbollah claimed they did. |
