You really think you know history? Try 1938 (I remember it - I was a boy living in London then). The Czechs know what it`s like to be a tiny democracy abandoned by the West to a bunch of thugs. They won`t let history repeat itself; they won`t allow Israel to be surrounded and swallowed up by a Shiite Anschluss.
I suggest you leave the UK (you`re too ashamed to call yourself a Brit, anyway, what with tyour `Scotland - EU` rubbish) and try living in a Shiite theocracy for a bit. We`ll see who you`re defending after that point.
