| On an individual level, one understands the feelings of former Gaza settlers now fighting their way back in. On a national level however, it remains a mistake to think the settler movement holds anything good for Israel`s future. How can we opppose Hamas messianism and justify Jewish messianism? The settlers who want to protect Israel can expand Sederot`s population or thicken the Jewish population of the Galil. Plenty to do in Israel proper that most of the nation and world agrees is Israel. |
