| Let`s put emotions aside and concentrate on the facts. Here is actual the disengagement plan presented by Sharon (before the disengagement). http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3634245.stm As you can read disengagement was simply meant as a redeployment. Israel planned from the start to keep full control over ALL of Gaza`s borders (read "siege") and reserved the right to perform military operations in Gaza when it saw fit to do so (like on the West Bank). No country could possibly accept such attacks on its sovereignty. All the current troubles can be traced back to this. |
