For all those who think the understood this article I suggest going to see the new movie "DOUBT". I am another admirer of Sayed Kashua and I now see again why. My suggestion to Sayed is to leave the readers in "doubt" about his article, as was the case with the movie.
I am left sad and torn between my certainty about my support for "somthing had to be done" and "will ther ever be a solution?". Unfortunately my conclusion has lately been that we will never have peace with our neighbors, but a regular cycle of wars every 4-10 years...shame on all of us and especially on this generation of Arabs who regressed their culture back into the Dark Ages. We will have to wait until someone will free Islam from it`s current fundementalism as Martin Luther did to Christianity. |
