| The issue is enforcement. Monitoring an undertaking by Hamas not to smuggle in weapons and ammo is USELESS. If in fact Israel can satisfy herself that Hamas will not get serious weapons, which Hamas uses offensively, she will withdraw and I suspect open up its borders. Israel could legitimately demand the withdrawel of the provision in the Charter calling for its destruction and which provides that all Jews are legitimate targets. If Hamas isn`t willing to go "that far", then what the heck is this about. Then I have to agree with "real vision" that you provide a civilian corridor into a massive tent city and go after Hamas and its weapons seriously. |
