| Since before day one of his presidency, the knock on Abu Mazen was that he was a weak leader, with little internal legitimacy and thin support among the powers that be within Fatah. Since then, he has done nothing to improve on that position. Regular calls have been made to "provide him with gifts, offers of good will, and `generous gestures` by Israel to no avail. |
