| The only reason Abbas is in office is because the entire world plays this make-believe game that Abbas can actually do something. He can`t. He`s nothing more than yet another clone of the Tunis gang of functionaries. Instead of setting up a government in exile, they set up a mafia-in-exile and simply transferred it with the name "Palestinian Authority". Billions of dollars squandered. Billions more unaccounted for. A bureaucracy based on kickbacks, cronyism, favoritism and downright thuggery. A toothless judicial system, a lame and constantly threatened press. Of course he`ll topple, and the best they can come up with to replace him is a convicted murderer, oops, excuse me, freedom-fighter who still thinks that killing Israeli civilians (including children) is legitimate "resistance to the occupation." Sorry, the Pals are stuck in the deep, dank ditch they dug for themselves. Yea, we helped a bit, but they certainly led the way. |
