I absolutely agree although I do believe that Olmert is just trying to make up for the second Lebanon war.
Hamas must be seen to be defeated. Anything less is not good for Israel even though Hamas has been dealt a substantial blow.
As for world opinion, the world has done nothing for Israel in the past, whatever Israel has done, whether to react or turn a blind eye, it is and always will be condemned. Sadly this is reality and Livni needs to wake up.
Israel must look after its own.
