Two weeks duration of hundreds of airstrikes on a population with no defence (no warplanes of its own) isn`t much of a victory.

Israel has no reason to be proud of its "victory". The IDF ran fast enough from Hezbollah, who were more like an equal in terms of manpower and weapons.

Not that Israel didn`t use airstrikes there, of course...levelling the infrastructure only proved that they had warplanes and Lebanon did not...
