I am always amazed how Gideon Levy can turn any situation into a besmirching of the State of Israel, good or bad. For him, the country`s glass shall forever remain half empty.
But it is important to note that this war was fought for the residents of the South, who more than anything else needed that 2 month cease-fire. As well, Hamas is now undergoing an internal schism, whereby members in the Gaza strip have begun contemplating their allegiance to the organization.
Urban warfare is not pretty. Get used to it. If the status quo is not peace then at least it should be quiet. |
