People excommunicate THEMSELVES by teaching false doctrine; the Church makes it official in some cases--such as when a consecrated bishop does it.
"Lifting" excommunication is only predicated upon the heresiac`s renunciation of his/her false teaching(s).
The Shoah/Holocaust has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Church doctrine. It has nothing to do with the Sacraments, the Profession of Faith, the sanctity of the individual, or the discipline of the Commandments. It has nothing to do with any official Church teaching whatsoever.
Saying that someone should not be accepted back into the Shepherd`s fold because of his political/historical beliefs is just plain retarded, especially when hundreds of millions of supposed Catholics and tens of thousands of (self-described) Catholic politicians routinely vote to murder unborn children (hence excommuniting THEMSELVES) without fear of official Vatican censure.
Have the Sanhedrin "excommunicated" Bernie Madoff yet? How about Jack Abramov? |
