That point has been beaten to death on Haaretz talkback. If there are Israelies that are guilty of war crimes, then sure prosecute them. But going after hamas and killing civilians who Hamas has used as human shields, is not a war crime. Nor is destroying a building with Hamas munitions in it. Both of these examples involve hamas war crimes, not Israeli. On top of that, every rocket fired by Hamas at civilian targets, is a war crime. No comment, eh Joe.
On the other issue, I will say this. I personally couldn`t care less who Roman Catholics "rehabilitate". That is up to them. If they rehabilitate bad, nasty people, ignorant people, then that sullies them. I know nothing about the Bishop. Perhaps he wasn`t anti-semitic. Perhaps he was just incredibly ignorant. I`m not sure how one rehabilitates that in any meaningful way other than through education. Too late for that.
