| In 1948, hundreds of thousands of Arabs fled from war that Arab countries waged on Israel to eliminate it. At the same time, some Arab and Muslim countries started intolerance, oppression and physical threat on Jewish communities there. As a result of the declaration of Israel, about 850000 Jews ended refugees without nothing. About 600000 found shelter in Israel and were absorbed in the course of the next 10-15 year.
