Thanks for the insightful article on the Paletinian Chronicle. It is very concerning to see how a severely persecuted religion and people, the Israeli`s uder the Nazi`s, could go to Palestine & steal the land, rights and lives of the Palestinians. And yet as you point out they have justified in their own minds their right to treat the Palestinians as less than human beings denying their humanity, to deny their religion which espouses loving ones neighbour and possibly to deny their history of oppression by commiting their own crimes against humanity.
However I think comparing the Jews to the Nazis is incorrect and unhelpful - they are not commiting Nazi atrocities, Gaza is not a "Concentration camp", they are not Nazi guards. Their physical acts are not as bad as the Nazi`s but the self justification and hypocrisy I believe is perhaps worse and comparable to the Nazi`s. Israel and the Jews have a religion which at its core teaches them to love they neighbour, not to steal or murder - |
